Heart-shaped sunglasses enjoyed great popularity in the sixties– this accessory starred in 1962 film “Lolita” and these shades have often been referred to as Lolita sunglasses ever since. In the seventies they were not so much in trend. The 1980s marked retro-style obsession and the heart-shaped sunglasses made a comeback. The craze about these shades was almost over by the 1990s. We can’t say that they are very fashionable now. But one can often see them being worn around St Valentine’s day and at parties.
However, heart-shaped sunglasses are not all about parties and bright frames. Apparently they also come in metal-framed variations. In this guise they look sleek and elegant and are quite acceptable for everyday wear.
Bellow is a gallery of celebrities, and not only, wearing heart-shaped glasses.
